Wall Tents

At Thunder Mountain Tent and Canvas we take pride in building our wall tents. We start with a customer consultation to assess their needs and customize the tent to fit those needs.

The quality starts with the tightest woven canvas to make a tent that will last and keep you as warm and dry as possible.

We put quality workmanship in each and every one of our tents. All the stitching is done with a double needle lock stitch to guard against seam failure. We put large reinforcements in all corners, and the eaves are reinforced with a sewn in rope to keep the guy line tension on the rope and not the canvas.

Canvas wall tents have been used for more than 100 years as temporary and permanent shelters during the civil war and on the western frontier.  Wall tents have become the home away from home for those individuals that enjoy the outdoors.  Families are discovering that canvas wall tents are an ideal mountain retreat and make a perfect home in the wilderness.

Our wall tents can be erected quickly, even for those of you with little experience handling wall tents.  Once you have the tent up, you can equip it with one of our newest wood burning stoves so spending a cold night in the high country is virtually eliminated.

The basic tent consists of 7″ overlapped double tie doors, rope sewn into the eaves for durable reinforcement. Quality brass spur grommets for the rope tie downs (spur grommets grip the fabric and reduce the chances of coming out), large reinforcements in all the corners and hemmed around the bottom with heavy webbing loops to hold the stakes.
